Production Manager
Job Summary
Lead manufacturing operations by strategizing, planning, and executing daily activities to achieve production goals while managing teams, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement for operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Strategize, plan, and execute daily manufacturing activities to meet production targets efficiently
- Lead and motivate a team of technicians and production operators to achieve quality, productivity, and cost objectives
- Identify and resolve production line issues by analyzing equipment capacities and constraints to eliminate bottlenecks
- Anticipate potential operational challenges, escalate appropriately, and implement preventive solutions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and operational excellence
- Coordinate and support new product introduction activities to ensure smooth integration into production
- Collaborate with management, internal teams, and contract manufacturers to communicate project status and resolve issues
- Take full ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, ensuring end-to-end execution and timely closure
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies by identifying hazards and enforcing site safety measures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors to support manufacturing operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing management principles, quality systems, and safety requirements
- Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing and leading continuous improvement projects
- Skilled in writing Standard Operating Procedures and production performance reports
- Effective leadership and people management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working with US-based teams or stakeholders
- Availability for a permanent day supervisory role with a 5-day work week
