Production Manager - Paint & Drywall

As the Production Manager for our Paint and Drywall Division, you will lead field operations with precision, vision, and purpose. The Production Manager oversees the full production cycle—ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget—while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. This position demands a results-oriented leader who thrives on building strong teams and delivering top-tier performance across multiple job sites.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directly oversee all Field Operation Managers and the Scheduling Team.
• Coach, mentor, and develop management-level direct reports to achieve both individual and company goals.
• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and development of operational leadership.
• Conduct performance evaluations, enforce accountability, and manage corrective actions when necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and field teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
• Set clear expectations, enforce accountability, and provide real-time coaching and performance feedback.
• Foster a culture of ownership, pride, and continuous improvement that reflects Stancil Services’ core values.
• Develop and implement production strategies that ensure efficient use of labor and resources.
• Review project timelines and labor projections weekly to maintain alignment with schedules and client expectations.
• Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Project Management teams to execute work consistent with awarded scope and contractual requirements.
• Monitor daily crew performance, field schedules, and resource allocation to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Track and report key field metrics such as labor hours, job costs, and production rates; proactively address variances.
• Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Standardize field execution through the creation and use of clear processes, SOPs, and checklists.
• Lead post-project reviews and site walks to identify improvement opportunities.
• Champion new technologies that streamline communication, labor tracking, and material logistics.
• Oversee the proper use, care, and tracking of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Partner with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely material and supply deliveries.
• Reduce asset loss and misuse through accountability measures and visibility systems.
• Other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience (paint, drywall, plumbing, or mechanical preferred), ideally with a national or regional homebuilder or contractor.
• Proven leadership experience managing crews across multiple job sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, job costing, labor forecasting, and schedule management.
• Proficiency with project management tools, scheduling software, and field reporting systems.
• Demonstrated success leading both field and office operations at scale.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
• Primarily office-based with regular visits to field sites as needed.
• Extended periods working at a desk or computer (approximately 75% of the time).
• Ability to navigate multi-level workspaces, including stairs.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 15 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license required; must be insurable under company policy.
