Production Manager
The Production Manager is empowered to make decisions and take actions as required to meet daily and long-term goals and requirements. The Production Manager works under minimum supervision in a team environment to oversee production operations and plant personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises production operations in Furnace, Spray Dry and Shipping
- Assure appropriate resources are in place (raw materials, packaging materials, people, etc…) to meet production orders.
- Maintains quality control of production unit(s).
- Maintains safe working conditions and practices.
- Assures environmental control of facility as required by permits and regulations.
- Communicates problems, instructions, observations, and information to others as needed.
- Participates in plant-wide quality, HSES, and productivity initiatives.
- Supports, implements, and participates in ISO 9001:2000 and RC14001 activities.
- Participates on Safety Committee.
- Participates in HSE activities (i.e., Toolbox meetings, Accident investigations, Near misses, etc.).
- Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements.
- Comply with company policies.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the chemical industry in a manufacturing environment
- 3years of supervisory/management experience with increasing responsibility
- 4-year college Degree in technical field and/or equivalent job experience preferred
- Familiarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) rules and regulations
- Familiarity with management systems such as ISO 9001 and RC14001

Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
EHS Responsibilities
- Communicates, promotes and personally demonstrates Safety/Health (including PQP Principles) as #1 priority
- Participation in risk assessment audits as applicable
- Understand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and procedures
- Completes HSE training requirements identified for the job in a timely manner
