Position Title: Production Manager - Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metals
Business Unit: Structural Fabrication
Location: Rockport, IN
Reports To: General Manager
As a Production Manager, you will effectively manage structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects while building relationships with external and internal customers and category experts to collaborate on winning bids.

As a Production Manager, you will effectively manage structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects while building relationships with external and internal customers and category experts to collaborate on winning bids.
Our ideal candidate will
- Ensure that all projects and deliverables are completed properly within the scope of the contract
- Identify, request, and follow up on required information from architects, engineers and detailers
- Identify and procure all required material for projects from drawings released for fabrication
- Schedule production and delivery of materials
- Develop and maintain customer and vendor relationships
- Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, contractors, architects, engineers, and detailers via phone, email, and face-to face
- Maintain schedule & cost tracking metrics over the lifecycle of projects to ensure progress & budgets are met
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required
- Follow all company and common-sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in structural and miscellaneous metal fabrication preferred
- Experience operating within Tekla / Fabsuite
- Prior project management experience preferred but not required if you possess extensive experience in the trade
- Ability to read design, fabrication & erection drawings required
- Working from the office located at the operations
- The ability to excel in a fast-paced, competitive environment
- Organized with extreme attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and the ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
