Production Operator

Cablex is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our Production team in Nilai, Malaysia.

The Production Operator is responsible for assembling cables, harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies in accordance with approved specifications, technical drawings, work instructions and quality standards.

The successful candidate will contribute to achieving production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, housekeeping and 5S.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble cables, wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies according to specifications and work instructions.

• Perform production processes including:

  • Cutting

  • Stripping

  • Crimping

  • Plugging and locking

  • Measuring

  • Soldering

  • Braiding

  • Lacing

  • Cable routing

  • Heat shrinking

• Use hand tools and production equipment safely and accurately.

• Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions and production requirements.

• Conduct work carefully to ensure products meet required quality standards.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in accordance with 5S requirements.

• Follow all occupational health and safety procedures and safe working practices.

• Communicate effectively with the Production Team Leader and other team members.

• Perform other reasonable production-related duties as required from time to time.

Requirements

• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

• Good attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive assembly work accurately.

• Ability to read, understand and follow written work instructions and technical drawings.

• Basic English communication skills, with the ability to understand technical instructions written in English.

• Good eyesight and colour perception.

• Physically fit and able to:

  • Stand or sit for extended periods.

  • Perform repetitive movements.

  • Lift, pull or push objects as required.

• Basic computer skills, including file navigation and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, would be an advantage.

• Previous experience in manufacturing, cable assembly, wire harness assembly or a similar production environment would be an advantage.

• Follow 5S and housekeeping standards.

• Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the production process.

• Work in accordance with Cablex's Code of Conduct and Values.

Compensation

RM2,000 per month
