Production Operator - Foam Gluing

Job Summary: The foam gluing laborer uses a glue spray gun to glue various foam components to their wood counterparts to create the core of each furniture piece. The completed components are then placed in a staging area to be picked by the upholsterers. The foam gluing laborer supports the upholsterers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures

• Follows all pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of work

• Reads order-specific job travelers and/or engineered drawings to ensure each order is produced to specifications

• Uses various hand tools and glue gun to glue foam components to furniture core pieces

• Completes all job duties within given time constraints

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Cross-trains between several different jobs

• Cleans and maintains work area

• Pursues continuous improvement to improve efficiency of job duties and work flow
