Production Planner & Analyst (Liverpool, NY)
Summary
Plans and analyzes 5G manufacturing schedules using SAP, MRP, and S&OP to optimize production, inventory, and delivery for DAS/RAN product lines in a U.S.-based factory.
Job Summary
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and manage a manufacturing plan based on forecast and customer orders utilizing SAP GIB Module to ensure maximum performance
- Release manufacturing orders based on Materials Requirement Planning system (MRP)
- Analyze and update MRP to ensure data is accurate and up to date
- Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Manage forecast within SAP weekly to ensure expired forecasts are removed
- Manage delivery dates for customer orders within 48 hours of booking
- Ordering materials from the warehouse to the production floor in a timely manner
- Manage the quality inspection priority list
- Assist in coordination with suppliers where needed
- Inventory analytics and safety stock management, lead all business units review and report summaries including projections, actions, and expectations for all Business Units globally
- Execute material movement transactions where necessary
- Track and monitor inventory to support the schedule requirements
- Report weekly, shortages for the next 3 weeks of demand
- Develop and execute a recovery plan for any shortages
- Report risks and priorities to manufacturing and leadership
- Assist in the release process of new product
- Oversee the workflow of the production facility
- Help to resolve SAP discrepancies and errors
- Execute material movement transactions where necessary (Reservations)
- Continuous improvements to SAP GIB with IT and system ops teams
- Review bookings daily and optimize manufacturing plans based on lead times and customer requirements
- Analyze and foresee potential obstacles and devise proactive strategies to mitigate risk
- Communicate with all departments about expedites, delays, or any changes to the schedule
- Review and understand drawings, deviations, and quality alerts and the impact to the product and schedule
- Interface with manufacturing facility and other departments and maintain a good working relationship
- Manage, track, and report on forecast for S&OP review. Providing forecast accuracy, head count requirements, inventory projections, equipment capacity, and any other metric needed to determine the ability to meet the forecast

Required Skills & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Technical or Supply Chain or related field required – experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 1+ years’ experience in purchasing and/or production scheduling for a manufacturing organization in an MRP environment,
- Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems required. (Oracle, SAP)
- Exceptional computer skills and speed; SAP experience preferred
- Applicable APICS CPIM, CSCP or CPSM certification
- Knowledge and experience with Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups), Power BI, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while working with changing priorities and competing demands
- Ability to effectively present information, data, recommendations to all organizational levels
