Production Planner
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production activities for gas delivery projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules based on engineering release dates, material availability, manpower, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with Engineering for timely release of drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering changes.
- Generate and manage work orders according to project priorities and delivery schedules.
- Monitor production progress, WIP status, and schedule adherence; identify bottlenecks and implement recovery actions when required.
- Coordinate fabrication, orbital welding, assembly, pressure testing, leak testing, and final inspection activities to ensure on-time completion.
- Liaise with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of stainless-steel tubing, valves, regulators, fittings, MFCs, and other critical gas components.
- Support manpower and resource planning for both in-house manufacturing and on-site installation or service activities.
- Expedite urgent orders and manage priority changes to support project requirements.
- Maintain accurate planning data, lead times, and production records in the ERP/MRP system.
- Prepare production status reports, delivery forecasts, and capacity utilization reports for management review.
- Participate in production and project meetings to align manufacturing priorities across departments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning accuracy, production efficiency, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with semiconductor industry quality standards, cleanroom requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in production planning, project planning, or manufacturing coordination.
- Experience in gas delivery projects, gas panels, gas boxes, VMBs, process piping, or hook-upprojects is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with project-based or engineer-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Understanding of high-purity gas delivery systems and stainless-steel tube fabrication.
- Knowledge of orbital welding, leak testing, pressure testing, and cleanroom assembly processes.
- Ability to read P&ID drawings, isometric drawings, and BOM structures.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or equivalent).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for scheduling and data analysis.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with engineering, production, suppliers, and site teams.
- High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership.
- Willing to work at Changi North Crescent, Singapore.
