Production
The Production Associate will have responsibility running the equipment or performing the processes associated with manufacturing of product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production
- Safely operate manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, impact extrusion presses, robotic systems, assembly equipment, trimming equipment, and other production machinery as assigned.
- Follow standardized work instructions, production schedules, and quality requirements to meet daily production goals.
- Load and unload raw materials, components, and finished goods into production equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and process conditions to identify abnormalities and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Perform basic machine adjustments, tool changes, and preventative maintenance tasks as trained.
- Accurately record production quantities, downtime, scrap, and non-conforming material.
- Maintain flexibility to support multiple manufacturing operations and departments as business needs require.
- Read and understand work instructions, quality specifications, control plans, and production documentation.
- Perform repetitive tasks requiring standing, lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, and manual dexterity throughout the shift.
- Quality
- Inspect parts using measuring devices, gauges, fixtures, and visual inspection methods.
- Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and internal specifications.
- Identify, segregate, and properly document non-conforming material in accordance with company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process concerns and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Safety
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and work instructions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed footwear, and additional PPE as required.
- Safely work around moving machinery, automated equipment, robotic systems, forklifts, compressed air systems, and industrial manufacturing processes.
- Safely handle and work around oils, lubricants, coolants, cleaning solutions, coatings, and other approved manufacturing chemicals.
- Immediately report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, spills, or near-miss incidents.
- General Support
- Support Team Leads, Supervisors, Maintenance, Quality, and fellow Production Associates as needed.
- Participate in shift meetings, training activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Crosstrain in multiple manufacturing processes and departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Housekeeping and 5S
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Keep tools, materials, fixtures, and workstations organized and properly stored.
- Ensure floors remain free of scrap, oil, coolant, debris, and safety hazards.
- Participate in 5S and workplace organization initiatives.
- Report equipment leaks, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns immediately.
