Production Quality Control Engineer (PQC)

We are now expanding with a new high-tech facility in Thang Long II IP, Hung Yen, backed by a $145 million investment and spanning 100,000 m². This site will manufacture advanced products including high-speed connectors, cables, and optical devices

Primary Purpose

Together with Supervisor to assist department Managers to take charge of in-process quality so as to make sure of the operation achieving quality, productivity and output goals and improve.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Be responsible of in-process manufacturing quality standards. Ensure the standards, instructions are applied.

2. Define inspection plan, organize and implement processes inspection and audit. Evaluate in-process product, analyse and issue abnormality report.

3. Training and coaching subordinates for product specifications, standards, machines and instrument set-up and operations. Limit samples preparation and submit for approval.

4. Monitor in-process quality performance. Control and improve defect rate, scraps, material consumption, inspection cost. Contact to related department for quality issue and follow up improvement actions.

5. Participate quality meetings in plant and/or with suppliers, vendors and reports. Take part of defect analysis, abnormality report, follow up actions, customer complain and claim, sorting, PFMEA.

6. Take part for trial run, transfer components, products and new product development. Participate supplier, vendor assessment.

7. Subordinate performance assessment.

8. Clearly understand self’s and section’s goals to make contribution to obtain quality and delivery goals.

9. Be accountable for the compliance to rules, procedures and requirement in terms of:

a. 5S & KAIZEN

b. Environmental Health Safety

c. RBA & Social Responsibility

d. Protection of company assets

10. Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.

11. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Working location: Thang Long IZ, Hanoi.

Shuttle bus from Hanoi, Vinh Phuc to factory

Requirements:

• College

• At least 3 years equivalent experiences in manufacturing companies

• Good knowledge in quality

• Good knowledge at manufacturing processes

• Performance assessment

• Standards, instructions creation skills

• Human relation skills

• On the job Training, Coaching skills and Basic management & Kaizen

• Quality inspection machines and instrument operation.
