Production Scheduler/Planner – Path to Supply Chain Consulting
Description
Hylogic is a fast-growing consulting company specialising in supply chain planning transformation and advanced planning solutions. We help global manufacturers get the full value from Kinaxis Maestro across four service areas: Strategy & Advisory, Process & Delivery, Leverage & Operate, and Technical Mastery.
Our teams combine deep business understanding with strong technical capability, and we work with some of the largest supply chains in the world.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Scheduler to join HyLogic on a contract basis, working at a manufacturing plant of a global medical technology manufacturer. You will run the plant’s production schedule day to day and act as the site’s key user for SAP and Kinaxis Maestro.
The client is transforming how it plans, and you will be the plant’s voice in that change. You bring the shop-floor reality; HyLogic’s Advisory and Delivery teams bring the methods, the Maestro expertise and the coaching.
Your path into consulting
This role is designed for a hands-on planner who wants to become a consultant.
- A senior HyLogic consultant as your mentor, with regular check-ins.
- Structured Kinaxis Maestro learning, with support towards certification.
- Hands-on consulting experience: requirements definition, testing, solution validation and change management in a live transformation.
- A clear route to a Business Consultant – Supply Chain role at HyLogic, based on performance during the engagement.
- 3+ years in manufacturing planning: finite scheduling, capacity planning or production control.
- Strong grasp of shop-floor constraints: changeovers, campaign planning, labour flexibility and equipment limits.
- Hands-on experience with SAP PP/MM and an APS tool; strong Excel skills.
- Comfort owning planning master data, with discipline in change control.
- Ability to turn issues into quantified options and clear actions.
- Confident communication with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and IT.
- Fluent business English.
- Genuine interest in moving into supply chain consulting.
You will work closely with the client’s Factory Planning and S&OE teams, with a HyLogic engagement lead supporting you throughout.
- Turn demand and capacity plans into feasible daily and weekly finite schedules, balancing priorities, changeovers, campaigns and WIP.
- Spot bottlenecks in equipment, labour and materials, and re-plan quickly around downtime, quality holds and shortages.
- Run scenarios for demand changes or disruptions and quantify the impact on output.
- Confirm material readiness for the scheduled horizon and drive shortage resolution to prevent line stoppages.
- Own plant planning master data in SAP and Maestro (routings, run rates, capacities, calendars, changeover matrices) and its validation.
- Be the plant’s first point of contact for SAP and Maestro: support and train users, and translate plant needs into functional requirements.
- Execute functional, UAT and regression testing, and give go-live readiness input from a factory view.
- Track schedule adherence and plan stability, run root-cause analysis on misses, and help build ways of working that scale to other plants.
Nice to have
- Kinaxis Maestro (RapidResponse) experience, ideally as a key or super user.
- Involvement in an ERP or APS implementation, including requirements, testing or UAT.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing: medical devices, pharma or FMCG.
