The Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day production assembly, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This is a hands-on operational role suited to a technically strong individual who can manage people, drive process discipline, and support continuous improvement on the production floor.

You will supervise 4 Team Leads and 4 Senior Operators, with overall accountability for a production workforce of approximately 70 staff.

The responsibilities of this role are:

  • Plan and manage daily production schedules to meet output, quality, and delivery targets
  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leads and Senior Operators; foster a performance-driven and safety-first culture across 70 production staff
  • Monitor production KPIs (yield, throughput, downtime, OEE) and drive corrective actions where gaps exist
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve technical issues, process deviations, and non-conformances on the floor
  • Drive and sustain Lean/5S/Six Sigma initiatives; identify waste and implement process improvements
  • Enforce compliance with MOM Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act requirements and company SOPs
  • Coordinate with Planning, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to ensure materials availability and equipment uptime
  • Maintain accurate production records and report performance to the Production Manager
  • Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer, regulatory)

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

  • Diploma in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 8 years of production or manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Background in connector assembly, PCB assembly, electromechanical components, or a closely related precision manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a high-mix, precision manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies; certification is an advantage
  • Proven ability to manage a sizable, multi-tiered production team
  • Strong communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Planning
