Production Supervisor (Aerospace / Automotive, West, up to $6,000)

Duties and Responsibilities

Actively participate and sustain high level of Lean Management.
Plans and leads the activities in the production workshop.
Risk Management, Incident Investigation & Preventive measures.
Assists supervisor in monitoring and resolving matters related to production operations.
Manages work order priorities and manpower schedules according to requirements and timelines.
Ensures department Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost output goals met.
Provides training, motivation, guidance and communication to team members to develop competent, disciplined, safe and quality conscious team.
Co-ordinates with maintenance and upgrade of machine tools to meet organizational objectives.
Co-ordinates with internal stakeholders to optimize manufacturing process and queue times.
Initiate improvement plans and cost savings.
Responsible for record-keeping and for team member performance appraisals and work goal meetings.
Leads with limited autonomy after establishment of overall direction with immediate supervisor.
Establishes employee objectives and carry out disciplinary action and reward as required.
Assist in driving the team to meet on time delivery.
Resolve routine queries and problems independently.
Review employee timeclock hours.

Requirements

Diploma or NITEC in related field.
5 years of Production Supervisor experience in MNC Production or Manufacturing environment.
Leadership experience is compulsory
Experience in Lean manufacturing and problem solving skills.
Good knowledge in workplace safety procedures
Strong PC skill in Microsoft office applications.
SAP experience in preferred
