Description

Production Supervisor – Marinade, 1st Shift

Location: Hatfield, PA | On-Site

Schedule: 5:30am start | Department currently operates on a six-day rotation

Clemens Food Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our first-shift Marinade team. This is an active, floor-based leadership role overseeing approximately 45 team members in a growing department that processes approximately 85,000 pounds of product daily.

You’ll coordinate people, materials, and production across multiple steps, from raw material preparation through injection, marination, and packaging. Success means building a capable team, anticipating production needs, and improving yields while maintaining safety and finished product quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily production activities, organize staffing, and adjust assignments to keep work moving across the department.
  • Set clear expectations, coach team members, and address performance concerns with consistency and respect.
  • Develop team leads and strengthen coverage through training and cross-training.
  • Coordinate raw material flow and production scheduling across a portfolio of approximately 100 products.
  • Monitor yields, product weights, waste, and finished product quality. Investigate issues and follow through on improvements.
  • Partner with Food Safety and Quality Assurance to maintain product specifications, accurate labeling, and proper seasoning and allergen controls.
  • Work with Maintenance and other production partners to resolve disruptions and prevent recurring problems.
  • Reinforce safe work practices and take ownership of department performance.

What You Bring

  • Experience leading teams, organizing work, and holding people accountable. Five or more years of leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to manage several connected processes, adjust priorities, and anticipate challenges.
  • Experience using production results or other performance measures to identify problems and improve outcomes.
  • A practical approach to scheduling, staffing, training, and problem-solving.
  • Clear communication and the ability to build trust across different backgrounds and experience levels.

Food manufacturing, value-added processing, or marination experience is a plus. Previous meat or protein experience is not required. We welcome candidates from other industries who bring strong people leadership, operational ownership, and a demonstrated ability to improve processes. Bilingual communication skills are also a plus.

With broad operational ownership and significant cross-functional exposure, this role is well suited for an experienced manufacturing leader who is ready for substantial responsibility and continued growth toward Superintendent, Director, or other operations leadership opportunities.
