Production Supervisor - Wall Panels

Position Summary:

Responsible for leading Wall Panel Fabricators on the production shop floor. Oversee and give insight on production schedule and production metrics. Cultivate a safe, engaging, and lean production culture among employees.

Functions & Responsibilities:

1. Safety & Injury Management

a. Employee safety is a top priority for managers and every member of their team

b. Actively promote and support all safety training, programs and initiatives

c. Understand and implement all injury management processes and procedures

d. Consult with Home Office HR & Safety when needed to confirm best practices are in place

2. Cultivate a lean and safe production environment

3. Manage the production schedule with sales and design team.

4. Manage production metrics

a. Labor Cost vs quoted labor costs

b. Material Cost vs quoted material costs

c. LF footage produced per day per line

d. Conduct weekly huddles with production team

5. Active in Wall Panel Fabricators’ annual aspirations (review_ process

6. Prioritize engagement and strong cultural environment with the team following company values and mission statement.

7. Engagement/HR

a. Conduct BPTWM Quarterly Focus Group meetings

b. Hiring and working with HR on performance plans for improvement

c. Monitoring and addressing attendance/performance plans

d. Conduct Quarterly EE meetings

e. Conduct and manage annual review process

8. Safety

a. Involved/Lead for weekly and monthly Safety huddles

b. SOS program follow through and development

c. Increase daily awareness and engagement

d. Investigations of any safety accidents incidents

9. Other duties may be assigned

Desired Education:

• Minimum: H.S. Diploma or GED
• Preferred: College or technical school training

Desired Experienced:

• 5 years management/lead experience.
• Experience in building or design

• Must be able to create and maintain a positive team attitude
• Ability to prioritize based on needs analysis
• Motivate and hold accountable when necessary ( working with and through the GM)
• Positive team player
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid supervisory ability and able to engage team and always set excellent example

Repetitive Physical Demands: (Sawmill category)

• Lift 60# from floor to waist; lift 40# from waist to shoulder.
• Carry 60# over a distance exceeding 12 feet.
• Push 100# in a wheeled cart.
• Stand on a cement floor for long periods of time.
• Bend, stoop, or squat to floor level repeatedly.
• Reach over head to grasp materials.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs to access machinery.

Environment and Physical Working Conditions:

• Work in a fast-paced environment and be able to do several tasks at the same time.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for entire shift.
• Employees are required to wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
