Production Support Assistant (Materials)

· Work safely and effectively in a Lean Manufacturing environment

· Daily analysis of performance metrics and updating of the MDI boards

· Conduct daily stand-up meetings with team when supervisor out of the office

· Assign job tasks to individual drivers based on priorities

· Research inventory discrepancies reported from material drivers

· Manage secure inventory location to assure FIFO completed through weekly audits

· Process inventory part requests for all special projects (Proto, Engineering, Service) and assign picks to material handler.

· Process inventory adjustments for non-conforming parts based off quality ticket or obsolescence request.

· Process part picks associated with the whole good order (WGS)

· Investigate inventory accuracy issues with Operations or Purchasing and make inventory adjustments, do inventory count verification for back flush errors.

Comply with company core values, policies, and legal guidelines

· Must be safety and quality oriented

· 2+ years of experience as a fork truck driver

· High level of knowledge for inventory and receiving processes

· Good knowledge of MRP software and Microsoft Office

· Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral

· Accurate problem identification and solving skills is preferred

· Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment

· Must have high attention to detail and a sense of urgency

· Ability to compute basic mathematics

· Ability to read, comprehend, follow and apply work instructions, procedures and read Engineering prints
