As a Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting business-critical data platforms and applications within a banking environment. Working closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams, you will investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of incidents. The role requires hands‑on expertise in Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI, along with a strong understanding of banking operations and market risk processes. You will play a key role in monitoring system performance, supporting data pipelines, managing production releases, and ensuring operational stability across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving in a fast‑paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 and L3 production support for critical banking and market risk applications.
- Monitor production environments and proactively identify potential system issues.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, data, and infrastructure incidents.
- Support Azure-based data platforms, including Azure Data Factory and Databricks workloads.
- Analyze and resolve Power BI reporting and dashboard‑related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions to improve system stability.
- Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams during incident resolution.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, operational procedures, and change management processes.
- Support production deployments, release activities, and post‑deployment validation.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and incident reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in Production Support, Application Support, or Data Platform Support roles.
- Strong experience providing L2 and L3 support in enterprise production environments.
- Hands‑on expertise with Power BI (PBIX development, report troubleshooting, and support).
- Strong working knowledge of Azure Databricks.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services and platform operations.
- Mandatory experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Market Risk systems, processes, and reporting environments.
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management practices.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a business‑critical production environment.
