Job Summary
The Production Support role is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the handling, loading, processing, transfer, and tracking of materials and products throughout electropolish, passivation, cleanroom, and related production processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products are processed in accordance with established work instructions, quality standards, customer requirements, and cleanroom protocols.
The Production Support employee works closely with production, quality, and operations teams to maintain workflow efficiency while supporting a safe, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Functions
· Load products onto designated racks, fixtures, carriers, and processing equipment in accordance with established work instructions and quality requirements.
· Verify part numbers, quantities, lot information, and product orientation prior to processing.
· Prepare, organize, and maintain racks, carriers, and production materials required for daily operations.
· Safely load and unload materials associated with electropolish, passivation, cleaning, and related manufacturing processes.
· Monitor processing equipment and cycle completion to ensure proper workflow progression.
· Transfer materials between production operations while maintaining product identification and traceability.
· Handle products carefully to prevent damage, contamination, loss, or product mix-ups
· Follow cleanroom procedures, including gowning, PPE usage, contamination control practices, and material handling requirements.
· Perform visual checks of products and materials as required by work instructions and quality procedures.
· Accurately complete production records, travelers, lot documentation, and computer system transactions.
· Report quality concerns, nonconforming conditions, equipment issues, safety hazards, or process abnormalities to supervision.
· Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S and workplace organization standards.
· Collaborate with production team members to support workflow, operational efficiency, and customer delivery requirements.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction
Additional Duties
· Employees may be assigned additional responsibilities as business needs evolve. This position is expected to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while supporting enterprise initiatives across multiple business units.
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Ability to read and follow work instructions, travelers, production documentation, and basic operating procedures.
· Basic computer skills and ability to enter or record production-related information accurately.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established procedures.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
· Ability to safely work in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the work shift.
Preferred Qualifications
· One (1) to two (2) years of manufacturing, production support, cleanroom, assembly, or related experience.
· Experience supporting electropolish, passivation, cleaning, packaging, or similar manufacturing processes.
· Experience working in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
· Familiarity with production tracking systems, lot traceability requirements, and manufacturing documentation.
· Experience participating in 5S, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement activities.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to maintain product identification, traceability, and documentation accuracy.

Physical Requirements
· Frequently stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
· Frequently use hands and fingers to handle materials, carriers, racks, and production equipment.
· Frequently bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
· Regularly lift and move materials, racks, carriers, and frames weighing up to 25 pounds.
· Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including cleanroom garments and safety equipment.
· Ability to perform work requiring visual focus and attention to detail.

Work Environment
This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment and may involve exposure to production equipment, automated systems, industrial materials,
cleaning agents, moderate noise levels, and manufacturing processes. Employees are required to comply with all cleanroom protocols, PPE requirements, contamination control standards, and safety procedures.
