Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Application Production Support and will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our infrastructure systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of infrastructure management principles.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the application production support processes to ensure optimal performance and availability of critical applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues impacting application performance.

Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues before they impact production environments.

Develop and enforce best practices for application support and infrastructure management.

Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members in application support and infrastructure management.

Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning of infrastructure components.

Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures in all infrastructure management activities.

Document processes, procedures, and configurations to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge of Application Production Support methodologies and best practices.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving application performance issues.

Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools and performance tuning.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services and virtualization technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.

Knowledge of ITIL framework and service management processes.

Familiarity with database management and optimization techniques.

Understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in infrastructure management or application support are a plus.
