Production Technician - Tier II
Summary
Hand-trims and processes cannabis plants, operates trimming machines, and sorts flower into grades while maintaining clean production areas.
Position Summary
This position executes harvest, drying, bucking, and trimming work. It is a more experienced candidate than the Tier I Production Technician.
The largest single team in the facility. Sized to process one room per week at ~200 lb dry equivalent, with up to 30% diverted to fresh frozen.
Key Responsibilities
Cut down, hang, or process plants for fresh frozen as assigned
Buck dried flower from stems efficiently and without damage
Operate machine trimmers and/or hand-trim flower to grading standard
Weigh and label all batches accurately; record in tracking system as directed
Sort flower into A-bud, B-bud, smalls, and trim/shake categories
Bag, weigh, and freeze fresh frozen material within required time window
Sanitize tools, surfaces, and trim machines between batches
Maintain a clean and organized production area
Required Qualifications
Reliable attendance
Must pass Kentucky cannabis agent background check
Prior cannabis trim, buck, or harvest experience
Experience operating machine trimmers
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Sit or stand 8+ hours with repetitive hand motion
Lift up to 50 lb
Cold environment exposure during fresh frozen work
Strong cannabis aroma throughout shift
