Production Welder

Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to weld or tack weld metal parts together using spot welding, electric or gas welding equipment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Works to supply products and services that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Follows the documented quality systems and processes to satisfy our customers’ needs.

· Reads and understands documents related to the function. This can include, but is not limited to drawings, nests, utilization reports, diagrams, and work instructions.

· Handles and moves various materials from staging and stock locations to designated locations using a forklift, overhead crane, or other devices.

· Sets up, operates, and tends machines needed to fabricate parts to specified dimensions. This includes welding equipment, fabricating equipment, and various machine tools and cutting equipment.

· Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

· Records daily production activity.

· May assist supervisors or other managers in other duties or special projects as needed.
