What are your contributions to the team?

  • Support the conceptual design of derivative and clean sheet aircraft with regards to aircraft configuration with a focus on structural integration and interiors.
  • Perform structural integration activities at the conceptual design level, such as:
  • Conceptual layouts of primary structural components for evolving aircraft design configurations, including clean sheet ideation, derivatives, and modifications to existing products
    • Cabin layout conceptualization and integration for new aircraft designs based on marketing requirements, utilizing good awareness of human factors and certification constraints
    • Assist in the development of marketing requirements
    • Systems installations within the structural models, with the direct application of lessons learned.
    • Examples include: Landing Gear integration, Engine integration etc.
    • Conceptual sizing and safety assessment
    • Multi-disciplinary trade-off studies
  • Lead and/or oversight of assigned strategic technology projects.
  • Supervise engineering students’ internships

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have more than 10 years of experience in aerospace design; advanced knowledge in aircraft structures and structures integration.
  • You have a good understanding of aircraft interiors, their layout and their interactions within the aircraft structure.
  • You have a good understanding of the aircraft development and certification process.
  • You are open-minded, curious, rigorous and methodical.
  • You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem solving with a holistic view.
  • You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience.
  • You have a strong knowledge and experience with CATIA V5.
  • Knowledge and experience with Siemens NX/Designcenter is an asset.
  • You possess a university degree in Engineering.
