Professional Services Engineer
Traffic Group Signals is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to support the delivery of some of the UK’s most advanced portable and temporary traffic signal solutions.
Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, you will design signalling schemes using our award-winning Signal Studio software, support testing and deployment, and monitor live signals to help ensure safe and efficient traffic flows.
Previous traffic signalling experience is not essential, with full training provided for candidates who can demonstrate relevant transferable technical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Design temporary traffic signalling schemes using Signal Studio.
- Develop efficient and flexible signal timing plans.
- Test signalling schemes and produce Factory Acceptance Test reports.
- Remotely monitor live sites using CCTV and adjust signals where required.
- Provide technical support to deployment teams and customers.
- Attend site deployments when required.
- Provide on-call support, including remote adjustments and occasional site attendance.
- Deliver internal training and support continuous improvement projects.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a technical, engineering, field service, installation or configuration-based role.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent IT and communication skills.
- Customer-focused and professional approach.
- Engineering, technology or computer science qualification preferred.
- Full driving licence essential.
- Willingness to work out of hours and participate in an on-call rota.
