Lead and develop a team of 15 to 20 implementation consultants within an established enterprise SaaS business.
This is a senior people leadership role focused on capability, performance and how the consulting team operates as the business grows.
You will remain close to complex software implementations and senior customers, but your focus will be developing the people and practices behind successful delivery rather than personally running individual projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead, coach and develop 15 to 20 implementation consultants.
- Own performance management, career development and capability planning.
- Improve utilisation, capacity planning and forecasting.
- Strengthen consulting standards, governance and ways of working.
- Identify capability gaps and introduce practical development plans.
- Improve commercial discipline across scope, delivery quality and customer commitments.
- Lead operational improvements that are adopted across the team.
- Work closely with senior leaders across Professional Services and Delivery.
- Build stronger leadership within the team so improvement scales beyond you.
- Present confidently to senior customers when required.
- Experience leading a meaningful consulting or Professional Services team.
- Strong coaching, performance management and people development capability.
- Experience managing utilisation, forecasting and capacity.
- Evidence of improving consulting practices, processes or operating models.
- Commercial experience within SaaS, enterprise software or technology delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management across senior customers and internal leaders.
- The ability to build repeatable ways of working without becoming the answer to every problem.
This role will suit an experienced Consulting Manager, Professional Services Manager or developing Senior Manager. The strongest fit will be someone who has genuinely managed and developed consultants, rather than only leading projects or programmes.
The opportunity
This is a genuine opportunity to lead a sizeable consulting team and shape how a growing Professional Services function operates.
You will work closely with senior leadership, bring an external perspective and have the scope to turn practical improvements into adopted ways of working across the team.
