Professional Tiler (5+ Years’ Experience)

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Professional Tiler to deliver high-quality wall and floor tiling works across residential and commercial projects in Singapore. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and familiar with local site practices and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare substrates: inspect and rectify surfaces, perform screeding/patching, waterproofing (wet areas), and ensure proper levels and gradients (especially bathrooms, balconies, and kitchens).
• Set out and install tiles: measure, plan layouts, and execute precise alignment, spacing, and pattern work (e.g., herringbone, diagonal, mosaic, hexagonal).
• Cutting and finishing: cut tiles to fit corners, fixtures, and penetrations; create neat edges, terminations, and movement joints; apply grout and suitable sealants.
• Material handling: estimate quantities, request purchases, and manage on-site storage and handling of tiles, adhesives, grout, and accessories.
• Quality control: ensure plumb, level, and flatness within tolerance; verify adhesion, grout consistency, and clean finishes; rectify defects promptly.
• Site safety and housekeeping: comply with WSH requirements, maintain a tidy work area, protect existing finishes, and coordinate access with clients and site teams.
• Coordination: liaise with project managers, homeowners, and other trades to sequence works and meet milestones and handover dates.
• Defects and maintenance: carry out tile repairs, regrouting, and replacement works; diagnose issues such as hollow tiles, debonding, and efflorescence.
• Documentation: record daily progress, site measurements, and variation works; provide input for as-built information.
• Optional supervision: guide junior tilers or sub-teams and uphold workmanship standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven tiling experience in Singapore across HDB/BTO/condo/landed or commercial projects.
• Strong ability to work independently end-to-end: site prep, set-out, installation, grouting, finishing, and touch-ups.
• Proficient with various tile types and sizes: ceramic, porcelain, stone (e.g., marble, granite), glass/mosaics, large format/slabs.
• Skilled with tools and methods: tile cutters (manual and wet saw), grinders, notched trowels, levels/lasers, spacers/leveling systems, and mixing equipment.
• Solid understanding of gradients, falls to floor traps, and waterproofing best practices for wet areas.
• Knowledge of Singapore site protocols: condo MCST rules, HDB renovation guidelines, protection and noise control hours.
• Ability to read drawings, plan layouts, and calculate quantities accurately.
• High attention to detail, clean workmanship, and pride in finish quality.
• Good communication skills to interface with clients and site teams.
• Physically fit; able to handle lifting and prolonged standing.
• Safety-conscious; familiar with WSH requirements. CSOC/related safety certs are an advantage.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• BCA CoreTrade (Tiling) Tradesman/Foreman or equivalent certification.
• Relevant waterproofing certifications.
• Basic knowledge of product datasheets (adhesives, grouts, sealers) and manufacturer specifications.
