MIET (Autonomous) seeks to fill faculty positions at the ranks of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor within the Department of Computer Applications. These positions are integral to advancing the academic mission of the institution through excellence in teaching, research, and service. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set forth by AICTE. These positions provide an opportunity to contribute to academic excellence through innovative teaching, impactful research, and student mentorship.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Teaching and Academic Mentorship:

  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and lab sessions in Computer Applications and related subjects.

  • Design and revise curricula to reflect advancements in technology and industry trends.

  • Mentor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic pursuits.

  1. Research and Innovation:

  • Conduct high-quality research in Computer Applications and related fields.

  • Publish in reputed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.

  • Supervise research projects and mentor students pursuing advanced studies.

  1. Academic Leadership and Administration:

  • Provide leadership in the development and enhancement of academic programs within the department.

  • Participate in academic committees and contribute to institutional governance.

  • Mentor junior faculty members and support their professional growth.

  1. Collaboration and Outreach:

  • Engage in outreach activities to promote Computer Applications education and research to the broader community.

  • Foster collaborations with other academic institutions, industry partners, and professional bodies.

  • Contribute to the advancement of the field through participation in conferences, workshops, and seminars.



Requirements

For Professor:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Applications or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • A minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience in higher education including 03 years of experience as Associate Professor, with significant contributions to the field.

  • Demonstrated leadership in academic and research activities, including a minimum of 10 research publications in SCI/ UGC/ AICTE approved journals.

  • Experience in guiding and mentoring students and junior faculty members.

  • Proven ability to secure research grants and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.

For Associate Professor:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Applications or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • A minimum of 08 years of teaching and research experience in higher education including 02 years of experience post PhD, with a focus on emerging trends in Computer Applications.

  • Evidence of scholarly achievements, including a minimum of 06 research publications in SCI/ UGC/ AICTE approved journals.

  • Experience in curriculum development and course delivery at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

For Assistant Professor:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Applications or a related field from a recognized institution, or nearing completion, with a strong emphasis on research potential.

  • A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, with a minimum of 01 year of teaching experience is preferred.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching & demonstrated potential for research.
