Professor Doctor in Physics – Health Sciences

About the role

CEU Fernando III University is initiating a selection process to recruit a university professor specializing in Medical Physics and Physics Applied to Pharmaceutical Sciences, to provide teaching in the Faculty of Health Sciences during the 2027-2028 academic year.

What we're looking for

• Research or professional experience in Medical Physics, Applied Physics, or areas related to Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Knowledge of physical fundamentals and their applications in the healthcare and pharmaceutical fields.

Nice to have

• We will value university teaching experience in subjects related to these areas, as well as participation in research projects and the publication of scientific articles.
• Accreditation for university teaching positions by ANECA or the corresponding regional agency.
• Proficiency in English that allows for teaching in this language.
• Experience in laboratory practices and experimental teaching methodologies.

Education & certifications

• Degree or Licentiate in Physics.
• PhD in Physics or in a related field, preferably related to Medical Physics or its applications in Health Sciences.

Competencies and skills

• Ability to transmit scientific knowledge in a clear, rigorous, and didactic manner.
• Ability to relate the theoretical fundamentals of Physics to their practical applications in the healthcare and pharmaceutical fields.
• Strong communication, planning, and teamwork skills.
• Interest in teaching innovation and the continuous improvement of teaching-learning processes.
