Professor (m/f/d) of Web Technologies
Summary
Teach web technologies, lead research, and develop curricula at a German university, requiring deep expertise in modern web and mobile stacks and a strong publication record.
- Module responsibility and teaching of Gisma Bachelor and Master programmes as well as examination, assessments, and student supervision.
- Active participation in programme development and quality assurance.
- Conception, creation and adaptation of teaching and learning materials.
- Initiate, expand and maintain cooperation with partners in industry and research.
- Participation in accreditation procedures as needed.
- Active participation in academic administration and committee work.
- Further development of a personal research profile, publication of results, and other public dissemination activities.
- Participation in student recruitment events.
Among others the requirements for professorship are:
- Completed university studies.
- Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications.
- Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university after having obtained a master’s degree or equivalent.
- You are experienced in teaching in university classrooms, with blended and online approaches. Your students confirm in their evaluations an excellent quality of teaching and pedagogical aptitude.
- You have a high affinity for computer science topics.
- You have strong expertise in core areas of web technologies, with specialized knowledge in at least one subfield such as full-stack web development, web architectures, or cross-platform mobile application development.
- You demonstrate practical proficiency with modern programming languages, frameworks, and state-of-the-art tools and technologies commonly used in the industry, such as TypeScript, Node.js, React, Angular, Flutter, or REST APIs.
- You are internationally experienced and fluent in English for teaching and research purposes
- You demonstrate significant publications.
- You possess research experience, ideally including the acquisition of funding.
- You will provide new innovative directions for research and teaching.
- Ideally, you are experienced in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
