PROGRAM ANALYST

The primary purpose of this position is to: serve as a combatant command headquarters level senior program analyst planning, organizing, and determining necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of USSPACECOM program areas and missions. Supports system allocation, modernization, force management and analysis to include integrating, coordinating, prioritizing, and advocating for USSPACECOM future concepts, mission capability needs, weapon systems development, support for emerging technologies and command and control architecture across the mission areas. As senior program analyst applies space experience to analyze, develop, and evaluate detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation of assigned major command program(s). As technical expert documents planning and programming decisions/recommendations in appropriate formats to meet USSPACECOM requirements. Leads strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned program(s).
