PROGRAM ANALYST (AM&E)

Summary

Analyzes and evaluates USSOUTHCOM security programs, ensuring compliance with mandates and advising leadership on efficiencies using defense systems and data-driven insights.

About the Position: Join us at the United States Southern Command. We provide direct support to a four-star unified Combatant Commander, but compact enough that our staff works with senior leadership representatives of our inter-service, inter-agency and international partner organizations. Our contribution to furthering our country's relationships with South and Central American nations and peoples are substantial. We are looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join us.

Lead the comprehensive Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation (AMandE) process for a portfolio of USSOUTHCOM Security Cooperation (SC) initiatives ensuring all command activities comply with National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) mandates.

Analyze statistical and narrative data using specialized defense systems to develop and refines key performance metrics, mapping Measures of Performance (MOPs) to Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs).

Conduct program evaluations, cost-benefit analyses, and Return on Investment (ROI) assessments identifying program efficiencies and providing data-driven recommendations to leadership to sustain or eliminate ineffective initiatives.

Research new legislation, Department of War (DoW) directives, and defense trends to serve as a key advisor to command leadership.

Maintain partnerships with senior military and civilian officials from partner nations to synchronize regional security cooperation efforts.
