Program Coordinator

Position Summary

AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced ASP Program Coordinator to support its mission of academic excellence and student success. In this pivotal role, the ASP Program Coordinator will lead the day-to-day academic delivery of the Academic Success Program by supporting instructors, coordinating curriculum implementation, overseeing assessments, and promoting high standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Program Coordination: Coordinate the day-to-day academic delivery of the assigned program level, ensuring consistent implementation of the curriculum, assessments, and academic policies.

2. Faculty Development & Coaching: Conduct classroom observations, provide constructive feedback, and deliver professional development opportunities to support instructional excellence.

3. Assessment Management: Develop assessment templates, prepare assessments, and coordinate moderation activities to ensure consistency and alignment with learning outcomes.

4. Curriculum Implementation: Collaborate with the Director and Curriculum Coordinator to implement curriculum updates and support instructors throughout the transition process.

5. Academic Leadership: Monitor teaching quality, provide ongoing academic guidance, facilitate collaboration among instructors, and provide teaching cover when required.

Education and Experience

  • Required Education: Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
  • Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or English language programs, including experience coordinating academic programs or leading teaching teams.
  • Specific Skills or Expertise: Experience in assessment design, classroom observations, instructional coaching, professional development, and the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Additional Certifications: None specified.
