Description

The Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system. Through our programs, we offer opportunities for people to heal from and repair harm, restore their lives, and thrive. We challenge systems rooted in racism and retribution and fight for policies and practices that promote true safety, justice, and liberation.

At Osborne, we are guided by core values and shared beliefs. We honor everyone's capacity to change, celebrate our shared humanity, are united in our pursuit of justice and equity, take all possible steps to keep our commitments, and advocate for people and principles with fierce and tenacious determination.

Are you passionate about keeping families connected and supporting individuals impacted by the criminal legal system? At the Osborne Association, a trauma-informed and people-centered nonprofit, we are looking for a dedicated Program Coordinator to join our FamilyWorks team. We believe in the power of family bonds and offer comprehensive programs in parenting education and healthy relationships. If you are a compassionate leader ready to make a tangible difference in the lives of incarcerated individuals and their loved ones across the Hudson Valley, we want you on our team!

Operating on a full-time basis, the Program Coordinator handles the daily administrative and operational functions for FamilyWorks across New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) sites. Core duties involve coordinating parenting and relationship course cycles within 8 state prisons, facilitating DOCCS personnel training, organizing graduations, and planning special events. Additionally, this position directs operations across Osborne’s 5 child-friendly Family Centers. The Coordinator drives the attainment of key contract targets while fostering collaborative partnerships with prison officials and community stakeholders. While most supervision can be achieved remotely, the Coordinator must have a reliable vehicle and make quarterly and occasional, timely weekday or weekend visits to prisons for meetings and to train new staff. Some occasional weekend or holiday vacancy coverage at Family Centers and within prisons is required, and mileage is reimbursed at the federal IRS rates.

This position requires clearance by the New York State Department of Correction and Community Supervision (DOCCS). Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Department of Correction and Community Supervision (DOCCS) clearance to work in facilities operated by the Department of Correction and Community Supervision (DOCCS).

Salary: $70,000 - $72,000 annually
