Program Coordinator, Youth Program
Summary
The Program Coordinator will oversee youth program implementation, stakeholder management, and team operations in Chennai. Key duties include M&E, reporting, and managing government partnerships using MS Office.
The role will lead program implementation across Tamil Nadu, working closely with ITIs, government departments, CSO partners and internal teams to ensure effective delivery, quality and achievement of program goals. A key focus of the role will be leading the Women & Work agenda across Women ITIs, strengthening institute ownership, supporting women learners' transition to employment and self-employment, and building the capacity of institute teams. The role will also oversee stakeholder management, team performance, monitoring and reporting, while driving sustainable partnerships and reducing dependency on Quest Alliance over time.
Responsibilities:
1. Program Implementation & Delivery
Drive end-to-end program execution aligned with state and project goals
Develop and track work plans; ensure adherence to timelines and standards
Conduct regular (monthly/quarterly) reviews with trainers, centers, stakeholders
Support Training of Trainers (ToT) and ensure gradual center independence
2. Stakeholder & Partnership Management
Build and manage relationships with government bodies, ITIs, and CSO partners
Ensure MoU compliance across training, placements, and subgrant utilization
Collaborate with placement teams to strengthen industry engagement
Coordinate with internal teams (training, M&E, tech, comms) for delivery
3. Project & Operations Management
Oversee state-level project execution and ensure deliverables are met
Support career development programs, especially in Women ITIs
Ensure timely data flow for monitoring, assessments, and reporting
Align with regional/state leadership to achieve annual program targets
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely submission of M&E data and reports
Coordinate baseline, endline, and other assessments
Maintain updated student and center databases
Document case studies, success stories, and program evidence
5. Team Management & Capacity Building
Manage program teams, fellows, and interns (as applicable)
Define and review team goals (annual and quarterly)
Plan and enable capacity-building initiatives for effective delivery
Foster accountability, ownership, and high-performance culture
Requirements
Eligibility:
3-5 years experience managing stakeholders in government settings and/or in education institutions
Excellent communication in English and Tamil (mandatory)
Demonstrated passion for addressing the challenges of educating India’s youth
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with multicultural teams, government ministries, and diverse stakeholders.
Capability to ensure quality deliverables and project timelines while maintaining high attention to detail.
Strong judgment and interpersonal skills.

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs.60,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
