Summary
Oversee large industrial projects from award to close-out, coordinating cross-site manufacturing, budgets, and risk while aligning stakeholders and ensuring contractual compliance.
- Lead the execution of complex domestic and international projects throughout the project lifecycle, from order award to project close-out.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, milestones, resource requirements, procurement strategies, financial objectives, and risk mitigation activities.
- Coordinate activities across multiple manufacturing sites to optimize project outcomes, capabilities, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Drive execution excellence by managing critical paths, monitoring project performance, and proactively addressing risks and issues.
- Ensure customer specifications, contractual commitments, and project deliverables are understood and executed effectively.
- Manage customer change requests, scope modifications, and commercial opportunities while maintaining project objectives.
- Lead project kick-off meetings, customer review meetings, inspection activities, and milestone discussions.
- Foster collaboration among Sales, Order Management, Service, Manufacturing, Leadership, and other key stakeholders.
- Support realistic delivery commitments through effective planning and coordination of documentation and lead-time requirements.
- Partner with close-out teams to ensure successful project completion, documentation delivery, and operational handover.
- Negotiate project scope, commercial terms, change orders, and customer expectations to support successful outcomes.
- Monitor project financial performance, identify opportunities for margin improvement, and support profitability goals.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, applicable regulations, and company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience managing complex, multi-functional projects in an engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.
- Strong project planning, execution, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams in a global business environment.
- Ability to interpret technical information and apply it to project execution activities.
- Demonstrated capability to identify risks, solve problems, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally or internationally, as required by project needs.
- Professional project management certification such as PMP, Prince2, CAPM, APM, or equivalent.
- Experience leading multi-site and multi-country projects.
- Knowledge of contract management, commercial negotiations, and change order administration.
- Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain coordination, and project financial management.
- Experience managing projects with significant customer interaction and complex stakeholder requirements.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
