Make a Difference. Change Lives and serves as the Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS) Program Director (Program Manager 2) for the Money Follows the Person Rebalancing program (Louisiana’s initiative is referred to as My Place Louisiana), which focuses on transitioning Medicaid participants residing in Nursing Facilities back to their home and/or community-based service setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Seven years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR

A bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR

An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Implements and manages the operational protocol for the administration of My Place Louisiana program statewide as well as the programmatic operations of the transition coordination for older adults and persons with adult on-set disabilities residing in an institutional setting. Manages individual data indicators, transition targets, budget projections, and grant benchmarks.
  • Manages the completion of reports to CMS that includes progress toward transition benchmarks, quality management information and data, and any additional data that is required or requested. Responsible for developing and adhering to the MFP OAAS budget.
  • Directs subordinate managers and staff positions allocated to the program within OAAS, determines work assignments, and reviews and approves work.
  • Liaison who represents MFP and OAAS or related statewide task forces, work groups, councils, and coalitions as assigned. Develops concise briefings for the OAAS Assistant Secretary, Deputy Assistant Secretary or LDH Medicaid Project Director on status, changing needs, and opportunities for the program.
  • All other duties as assigned.
