Program Manager (AUKUS Technical Exchange)

This position is part of the Deputy Administrator for Naval Reactors, Department of Energy. The NQ-04 pay band is equivalent to the GS-15 grade levels. As a Program Manager (AUKUS Technical Exchange), NQ-0340-04, you will: Serves as Program Manager providing Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) oversight within the Australia-United Kingdom-United States (AUKUS) Technical Exchange Program, with intimate familiarity with major Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program research and development efforts and policy initiatives. Leads, directs, and oversees diverse technical personnel and programs involved in the overall transfer of naval nuclear propulsion plants to the Royal Australian Navy. Provides leadership and oversight for sophisticated, technologically advanced research programs, and develops, reviews, and recommends changes to strategic and long-range program plans, standards, and regulatory guidance. Manages short- and long-term placements of skilled foreign partner personnel into Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) activities, ensuring security, financial, and programmatic arrangements support strategic Australia-United Kingdom-United States (AUKUS) objectives. Develops and defends Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) budget estimates for foreign partner support of NNPP technical work, maintaining a thorough understanding of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program short-range and long-range goals.
