About the Role

We are seeking a Program Manager to support the planning and delivery of AALD's high-level dialogues and events. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of a high-level, consequential organisation that contributes meaningfully to the Australia–US relationship, with genuine opportunities to grow within the organisation.

You will work alongside the AALD Executive Co-Chairs and the AALD Team, Organising Committees, and senior figures across government, defence, industry, and academia in both countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of the AALD calendar of events, including through domestic and international travel

  • Manage stakeholder engagement across government, defence, industry, and academic partners

  • Manage relationships with co-chairs, sponsors, and delegates across the full programme lifecycle

  • Maintain and manage delegate and stakeholder databases using event management software (EventsAir)

  • Write and edit company materials and communications used in event planning and delivery

  • Assist with management of AALD's online presence, including LinkedIn and website content

  • Contribute strategic recommendations to support the organisation's ongoing development

About You

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Consistent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent, high-level programmes

  • Discretion and professionalism suited to a private diplomatic initiative

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs

  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required

  • Proven experience in programme or event management desirable

The Australian American Leadership Dialogue is a private track 1.5 diplomatic initiative dedicated to strengthening the Australia–US bilateral relationship, bringing together senior leaders from government, military, industry and academia across both countries.
