  • Vietpay, a Vietnamese subsidiary of Tiger Financial, delivers digital payment and banking solutions across Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Our platform spans Smart POS, merchant acquiring, card issuing, payment gateways, QR payments, SoftPOS, banking integrations, and cloud-based payment infrastructure.

Role Overview: Technical Delivery and Business Development

  • Lead technical delivery for major bank and enterprise partners, including our main bank partner. Guide a cross-functional team through integrations and customization, owning delivery plans and partner communication while architects and engineers handle design and development. Also support business development in line with Vietpay’s growth strategy.
  • The priority is technical delivery and practical payments expertise. Bring a working understanding of fintech, digital banking, and card issuing or acquiring, alongside confidence in commercial discussions.
  • You should be comfortable in architecture reviews, bank certification calls, delivery meetings, and commercial discussions.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Mandate: Manage Bank & Enterprise Partnership, System Integration, Technical Delivery & Customization

  • Own technical delivery for projects with Vietpay’s main bank partner, from kickoff through production deployment and post-launch support.
  • Lead the coordination of API integration, financial messaging, and connectivity between Vietpay and partner banks.
  • Plan and coordinate bank and payment scheme certification activities with Visa, Mastercard, NAPAS, JCB, UnionPay, and other partners, as required.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), production rollout, cutover, and launch support with internal teams and the bank’s technical teams.
  • Manage day-to-day partner relationships, maintain delivery momentum, and align expectations.

Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, partners, and Vietpay’s internal technical teams.
  • Lead requirements workshops with banks and enterprise customers, translating business needs into clear technical requirements and agreed deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle, from scoping through production deployment.
  • Facilitate technical discussions between customers and engineering teams, keeping decisions aligned with delivery priorities.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction during implementation and post-launch support.

Technical Team Leadership and Delivery

  • Lead, mentor, and line manage a cross-functional team across engineering, QA, integration, DevOps, and certification.
  • Own delivery from planning through launch across acquiring, issuing, switching, Smart POS, SoftPOS, QR payments, and payment gateways.
  • Translate commercial and product requirements into clear technical scope, delivery plans, and realistic timelines, agreeing architecture decisions with technical specialists.
  • Establish and uphold delivery standards with technical leads across code quality, documentation, testing, release management, and operational readiness.
  • Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies, and risks across concurrent projects.
  • Work with architects and developers on solution design and integration approaches, including REST APIs, microservices, EMV, and ISO 8583 messaging.
  • Drive the resolution of technical blockers, make timely delivery decisions, and escalate issues with clear recommendations.
  • Establish consistent delivery governance through milestone tracking, status reports, risk registers, and structured stakeholder communication.

Secondary Mandate: Business Development and Growth

  • Develop new opportunities and expand relationships with banks, financial institutions, merchants, aggregators, and strategic partners in line with growth targets.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships across the acquiring and payments ecosystem.
