Program Manager II
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Manager II based in India.
This is an opportunity to lead strategic corporate social responsibility programs with measurable impact across India.
You will shape initiatives spanning education, inclusion, community development, and water, translating social-impact objectives into effective programs.
The role combines program strategy, governance, stakeholder engagement, monitoring, and communications.
You will work with multidisciplinary internal teams and a broad ecosystem of external partners, including NGOs, governments, academia, and social enterprises.
A key part of the role is ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, transparency, and accountability across the portfolio.
You will also help communicate program outcomes through compelling stories, impact highlights, and employee-volunteering initiatives.
This remote position offers significant ownership and the opportunity to influence programs designed to improve lives and livelihoods at scale.
Accountabilities
- Develop and implement strategic programs that advance social-impact objectives across education, inclusion, community development, and water.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks and processes that promote transparency, accountability, and compliance with applicable Indian regulations.
- Oversee policies, procedures, and guidelines supporting the effective management and delivery of CSR initiatives.
- Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure program effectiveness, outcomes, and social impact.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, NGOs, corporations, social enterprises, academic institutions, and community organizations.
- Coordinate multiple complex initiatives and facilitate collaboration across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Capture and curate volunteer stories, photographs, impact highlights, and program outcomes to strengthen engagement and visibility.
- Develop impact stories, event recaps, and communications materials showcasing CSR initiatives and employee-volunteering activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging before, during, and after CSR programs and events.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and strengthen the effectiveness and reach of the overall program portfolio.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 7–8+ years of experience in CSR program management, social impact, development programs, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and delivering strategic initiatives with measurable social impact.
- Strong understanding of at least several of the relevant sectors, including education, inclusion, community development, and water.
- Excellent stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across government, nonprofit, corporate, academic, and community environments.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex initiatives clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate broad objectives into actionable programs, governance structures, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong organizational and project-management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and drive initiatives from strategy through execution.
- Collaborative leadership style and the ability to align cross-functional teams around shared goals.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, adaptability, and commitment to social impact.
