Program Manager, III (Retail Energy Background Required)

The Program Manager III is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple projects within a program to ensure they align with the organization's strategic goals. This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Program Manager III will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and senior leadership to deliver successful program outcomes.
Essential Job Duties:

Program Planning: Develop comprehensive program plans that outline scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and timelines. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Project Coordination: Oversee and coordinate multiple projects within the program. Ensure project managers have the support and resources needed to succeed.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. Provide regular updates on program status and address any concerns.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact program success. Develop contingency plans and proactively address potential issues.
Budget Management: Manage program budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints. Monitor expenditures and optimize resource allocation.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on program performance using key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure projects are on track to meet goals and deadlines.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve program management processes. Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project managers and other team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

At least 6 years of experience in Utilities industry - specifically the retail energy sector
At least 3 full lifecycle CIS or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) required
6 years of experience in project or program management, with a proven track record of managing complex programs in a utility technical or SaaS environment.
Proven success managing complex projects or programs in SaaS or tech environments.
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) are highly desirable.
