Program Officer
About the Role
KNOSK Charity Education Initiative, known for its N100-a-Day School model providing quality, skills-based education to children from poorest households and out-of-school children, is seeking a Program Officer to drive project management, fundraising, and program implementation to advance the organization's education and empowerment objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate assigned projects and ensure day-to-day project management
- Drive fundraising, grant search, proposal writing, and resource mobilization
- Develop work plans, activities, targets, budgets, and progress-measurement standards
- Build strategic partnerships to support project goals
- Manage and monitor budgets for compliance and effective resource use
- Prepare reports for stakeholders and funders on project status and impact
- Maintain accurate records of activities, evaluations, and financial transactions
- Oversee grant administration, including proposal review and funding allocation
- Lead implementation of program activities (training, conferences, stakeholder/donor meetings)
- Support formulation, implementation, and evaluation of education and empowerment initiatives
- Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences related to program objectives
- Track project progress and outcomes to ensure objectives are met
- Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned on programming issues
- Write stories, web content, articles, and IEC materials to advance KNOSK's work
- Train and support staff/partners on project management, implementation, and communication
- Conduct community-based dialogues to advance KNOSK's objectives
- Document best practices and lessons learned for advocacy and reporting
- Identify strategies to grow KNOSK Charity's work
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3–8 years' work experience
