Summary

Coordinates AI-driven agricultural advisory projects with government agencies, validates AI models with research bodies, and trains stakeholders in Meghalaya, India.

  • Collaborate with SCSTE, Meghalaya, Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare and state institutions to deploy AI-enabled agricultural solutions.
  • Provide technical and operational support for pilot projects across selected districts and agro-climatic zones.
  • Coordinate regularly with state, district, and block officials to ensure smooth project execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with ICAR, KVKs, and agricultural universities to validate crop advisories and AI models.
  • Support developing state-specific AI knowledge based on local crops, farming practices, pest management, and climate resilience.
  • Engage with government departments, research bodies, FPOs, NGOs, and extension workers to promote AI advisory adoption.
  • Organize Training of Trainers (ToT), capacity-building workshops, and field demonstrations for stakeholders and farmers.
  • Provide on-field support, monitor AI solution performance, troubleshoot challenges, and collect user feedback.
  • Align with internal technical teams, consultants, and external partners to achieve project milestones.
  • Assist in integrating AI solutions with departmental databases, weather systems, and digital extension platforms.​
  • Willingness to travel within the state or nationally, as required.
  • Document project outcomes, successes, challenges, and lessons learned.


Requirements

  • Master's degree in Agriculture, Entomolgy, Agri-Business, or related disciplines.
  • 2–6 years of agri-sector experience, preferably with government, research institutes, NGOs, or development organizations.
  • Experience implementing digital agriculture, AgTech, AI/ML advisory systems, or ICT-based extensions.
  • Deep understanding of Meghalaya's farming systems, hill agriculture, agro-climatic conditions, and major crops.
  • Experience collaborating with government stakeholders, KVKs, ICAR, FPOs, or community organizations.
  • Knowledge of agricultural extension, crop production, pest management, and climate-smart agriculture.
  • Familiarity with mobile advisories, data collection apps, GIS solutions, or AI decision systems.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, training, documentation, and coordination.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and travel extensively across Meghalaya.
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of Khasi, Garo, or local languages preferred.
