Program / Portfolio Manager

Working closely with senior executives, business stakeholders and external delivery partners, you will play a critical role in overseeing major enterprise software initiatives, managing complex dependencies and ensuring delivery remains aligned with business priorities.

About the role

You will take ownership of an in-flight enterprise transformation program, providing strong delivery leadership, oversight and accountability across business, technology and external implementation partners.

With significant executive visibility, you will be responsible for establishing clear delivery priorities, strengthening governance and providing transparent reporting on progress, risks, dependencies and key decisions.

The focus is on driving outcomes, building effective stakeholder relationships and ensuring the program continues to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the delivery of a high-profile enterprise technology transformation program.
• Take ownership of an established program, quickly assessing delivery priorities, progress, risks and dependencies.
• Drive complex enterprise software implementation, optimisation and improvement initiatives.
• Establish and maintain integrated delivery plans, governance frameworks, RAID registers and reporting.
• Engage confidently with C-suite executives, senior leadership and key business stakeholders.
• Manage external vendors, systems integrators and internal delivery teams to ensure accountability for agreed outcomes.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, resolving dependencies, managing competing priorities and escalating issues appropriately.
• Provide clear, concise executive reporting on milestones, delivery performance, risks and critical decisions.
• Build strong working relationships across business and technology teams to support effective collaboration and delivery.

About you

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on delivery professional with a strong track record of successfully managing complex enterprise programs.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience as a Program Manager, Portfolio Delivery Manager or Senior Project Manager within complex enterprise environments.
• Proven success delivering major packaged-software implementations, enterprise technology programs or large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of in-flight programs and establish clear delivery direction.
• Strong program governance, integrated planning, risk, dependency and financial management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with C-suite executives and senior leadership teams.
• Strong experience managing external vendors, systems integrators and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• The ability to navigate complex organisational environments, influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• A pragmatic, collaborative and delivery-focused approach, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience delivering enterprise-wide software implementations across different platforms and business functions will be highly regarded. Specific expertise in any one software product is not essential.
