Program Specialist (Student Transportation)

About the Position: This position is located in Vicenza, Italy within the Europe South DSO Transportation Office. This position is not covered by a bargaining unit. Federal employees in Vicenza, Italy are currently entitled to receive a 20% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This rate is subject to change.

Conducts day-to-day operations for designated schools to provide timely and efficient transportation service.

Coordinate appropriate transportation for students with special needs.

Serves as Contracting Officers Representative (COR)for school transportation contracts.

Prepares documentation to support contract provisions.

Analyze documentation procedures and techniques with respect to cost, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Monitors contractor performance and related expenditure of funds.

Manage policy procedures relative to the organizations transportation program.

Compile student statistical data for forecasting transportation requirements.

Conducts student registration and orientation to parents and students.

Investigate incidents of student misbehavior and recommend consequences.
