Program Specialist
The incumbent will serve as a full-time Program Specialist for the Hospice and Palliative Care Program within the Phoenix VA Healthcare System in Phoenix, AZ. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative, education and research support for the program.
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Consultant to management on problem areas and programs requiring expertise in resource and program development. Completes and maintains documents for program information form necessary for Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation. Manages the recruitment process, program schedules and budgetary elements. Develops and implements systems to support required research is essential. Creates all educational conference schedules and documents confirmation of adherence to schedules. Coordinates VA authorization and arrangements for visiting professors. Manages presentation and documentation of Palliative Care Grand Rounds. Schedules, creates forms for documentation, collects data from residents. Schedules, creates forms for documentation, collects data from residents, enters data into database and sends report to Program Director for compliance with Resident Duty Hours quarterly. Creates and maintains I 00% of individual fellow portfolios in compliance with ACGME competencies.
