Program Support Assistant
The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is recruiting for (1) Program Support Assistant within the Ambulatory Care Services Department under the Office of the Assistant Director. This position provides administrative support in connection with the functions of data analysis, change management, and data and records management as it relates to the Veteran or employee experience.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Performs a variety of administrative and support type duties across areas such as administration, budgeting, records and file management, writing and transcribing VEO Committee minutes, property accountability, and reporting. Completing special projects that support program or policy development, which may involve collecting, assembling, and summarizing data, background information, and other materials from publications and additional sources. Provides essential clerical support to the Patient Advocate Office, contributing to the overall operation of the program. Obtains all required HIPAA clearances to allow the transmittal of facility data to VISN 22 for trending and quality assurance purposes and ensures that all data is transmitted in accordance with applicable cybersecurity requirements. Assists in the planning, reviewing, and reporting of data and statistical results, as well as data-capture processes for program or project studies. Receives and tracks consults and referrals for patients referred to VEO services, as well as for VEO patients referred to outside services. Provides responsive, professional, and courteous service to all internal and external customers, including Veterans, family members, VA staff, and community partners. Serves as the Timekeeper and is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and timely submission of Time & Attendance reports for each assigned employee.
