Programmatic Account Manager - German Speaking
Posted Updated
Description
Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.
The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.
About the Role
You support Samba's growing EMEA client base, with a particular focus on our German-speaking markets, in a role that blends client servicing, media planning, campaign management, and technical support. You are a key point of contact for agencies, advertisers, and platform partners, making sure campaigns run smoothly, clients are confident on our platforms, and our full product suite drives growth.
What You'll Do
- Be the Primary Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for EMEA agencies, publishers, and advertisers, with a focus on the DACH market (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), building strong, long-term strategic relationships.
- Lead Onboarding: Lead onboarding and platform training for new clients, and provide ongoing hands-on support across Samba's programmatic product suite and the wider ecosystem.
- Deliver Campaigns: Review campaign briefs, recommend targeting strategies, build custom segments, and monitor performance to deliver optimisations and successful campaign delivery.
- Provide Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting issues through the internal ticketing system and partnering with Product and Engineering where needed.
- Plan Account Growth: Analyse client usage and engagement data to find opportunities for greater platform adoption, and build the strategic plans and business cases to scale accounts.
- Drive Upsell: Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities, supported by regular insights, reporting, and check-ins that keep clients growing and retained.
- Advise Clients: Serve as a strategic advisor: share market trends, educate clients on automatic content recognition (ACR) and contextual targeting, feed client needs into product roadmap discussions, and contribute to internal training.
What You Bring
- Fluent in German and English, written and spoken, confident leading client meetings, training sessions, and technical conversations in both languages.
- 2+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or technical support, ideally within adtech or programmatic media.
- Exposure to demand-side platforms (DSPs) and supply-side platforms (SSPs) is a plus; hands-on campaign setup and optimisation experience is not required, because we will train you.
- Curious about data, targeting methodologies, and digital advertising platforms, and keen to build technical depth on the job, comfortable learning technical concepts and explaining them clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Enthusiastic about supporting product training and onboarding sessions as you grow into the role, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to turn data into insight.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
