PROGRAMME MANAGER
Summary
Oversee a government social-sector program supporting women and children, managing teams, budgets, and stakeholder relations from Hyderabad.
The AHTU PMU @
Women Safety Wing is being set up in collaboration with the Association for
Voluntary Action (AVA). Association for Voluntary Action (AVA) is a child
rights movement since 1979. These positions, while
operating out of WSW premises, are fully funded by and on the roles of AVA,
with no direct employment relationship with the Women Safety Wing.
The Programme
Manager @ AHTU PMU is a critical position. Candidates with exposure to and
knowledge of social sector interventions and high degrees of organizational
skills are required to ensure that the PMU is able to service its stakeholders
and its agendas effectively.
The Programme
Manager will be responsible for Manning, Implementation of Operational
Processes, Stakeholder Experience Management, liaison with all stakeholders,
Training and Reporting etc.

Qualification | 1. Should be a Postgraduate in Management with
not less than 4 Years OR Graduate with not less than 5 years of work
experience in social sector/ NSDC recognized skilling projects/ Government Schemes or similar. 2. At least 2 years of experience should be as
head of a reputed and easily identifiable social sector programme at District
level or equivalent. |

Experience | 1. Should have managed a team of not less than 5
direct reports. 2. Work experience in thematic areas of women and
child / skilling / health and nutrition etc., shall be given preference. 3. Hands-on experience in setting up and
operationalizing greenfield social sector projects shall be a definite
advantage. 4. The
incumbent should have theoretical knowledge of the ITPA sections since these shall have critical
influence on their operations. Candidates with no exposure to ITPA are
expected to brush up their knowledge before presenting for Assessments |
Skill Sets | 1. Understanding of Thematic Interventions in social sector 2. Social sector project management expertise 3. Basic accounting and budgeting knowledge. 4. Basic HR Knowledge and Experience
(Recruitment, performance management, training, time, and attendance etc.) 5. Expertise in planning and implementing
capacity building initiatives for team members. 6. Business writing skills: Should know how to use various functionalities such as style
guides, headers, TOC, should have flawless business correspondence skills
with nil grammatical or syntactical errors. This will be required for
drafting case studies, manuals, policy notes, contracts, SOPs etc. 7. Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced level: -
Data Cleaning, Filters, Pivots, Charts is an absolute must). 8. MS PPT, Proficiency (Working with stock designs within Office 365) is mandatory. |
Languages | Since large number of staff are speakers of
vernacular language, knowledge of Telugu is desirable. Should be fluent in
English (spoken and written) and should have working knowledge of Hindi. |
Work Location | The Programme Manager will be working out of Women Safety Wing,
located@ Lakdi Ka Pul, Hyderabad. There will be inter-city travel within the
state for project implementation and monitoring purposes for which commute
will be provided as and when the need arises. |
Compensation | The gross remuneration is capped at ₹75000/- per month. Actual
salary will be based on last drawn pay and mutual discussions. |
Initial Tenure | The tenure of the engagement is co-terminus with the project. The
initial employment will be for 1 year. Annual performance appraisals will
determine continuity of service, year on year. |
