Summary

Fixturelab is hiring a Programme Manager in South Melbourne to own end-to-end delivery of retail fixture programmes for large Australian retailers, leading the order management team and holding the critical path across order validation, production, supply and shipping. Requires 5+ years in retail programme delivery, team leadership, and PRINCE2/PMP/PgMP certification.

About the role

This is a newly created role. As Programme Manager, you will own the execution of our customer programmes end to end and lead the Order Management Team that delivers them. Each programme is a set of interdependent projects on one critical path, and you will hold that path. You'll turn the customer's store programme into FLG's operating plan. You'll make the release, supply, shipping and receiving decisions that protect it, and you'll keep the forward view accurate enough for the rest of the business to plan against. You'll manage the customer relationship through delivery, not sales.

Key responsibilities

  • Hold the master plan for every programme, including tranches, opening dates, delivery windows, dependencies and the critical path back through shipping, production and order validation
  • Manage risk across concurrent programmes, including supplier capacity, container space, team bandwidth and competing tranche dates
  • Run programme governance with the customer, with a regular reporting cadence, a live risk register and recorded decisions
  • Own change control. Assess the impact of customer variations, supplier delays and shipping disruption, then decide the response and communicate it
  • Lead the Customer Order, Supply Order and Inventory Co-ordinators as one team under one set of priorities
  • Build workflows and controls that remove errors, delays and billing discrepancies at the source
  • Make sure forecasts, lead times and order data reach the business early and clean, including compliance terms such as FSC claims, timber due diligence and Incoterms

About you

  • 5+ years delivering programmes for large format retailers (supermarket, hardware, discount department store or comparable national chains) to fixed store opening dates
  • Strong command of critical path, dependencies, stage gates, risk and structured change control across several concurrent programmes
  • 2+ years leading a team, and the ability to influence teams that don't report to you
  • Experience in demand forecasting and workload planning, and in turning complex customer briefs into clean operational data
  • Comfort making decisions on incomplete information, and bringing problems to the table already framed with options
  • Experience with imported supply, including offshore manufacture, sea freight, customs clearance and 3PL receiving
  • GNFR supply into retail, including customer portals, delivery booking and site access constraints
  • PRINCE2, PMP or PgMP, and exposure to timber or furniture compliance

About us

You'll get real ownership in a role built around your judgement. You'll have a direct line to senior leadership, a capable team to lead, and the chance to shape how we deliver for some of Australia's largest retailers.
