As Head of Quality Assurance, you’ll set the programme-wide QA strategy and improve testing practices. You’ll work across technology, delivery, vendors and business teams to ensure releases are safe, scalable and ready for production.

What you’ll do
- Develop the programme-wide QA strategy, framework and quality standards.
- Embed consistent testing practices across delivery squads and vendors.
- Oversee integration, end-to-end, performance, regression and migration testing.
- Ensure critical business processes and customer journeys are thoroughly tested.
- Improve test automation, environments, test data and production monitoring.
- Track defects, evidence gaps and risks, ensuring clear ownership and resolution.
- Provide quality assessments and go/no-go recommendations to programme leadership.
- Coach teams and drive continuous improvement across the programme.
- Experience leading QA across large, complex technology transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of integration, end-to-end, performance and migration testing.
- Experience developing QA frameworks, quality gates and assurance reporting.
- Understanding of test automation, contract testing and modern delivery practices.
- Experience working with vendors, delivery squads and senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and escalate risks.
- The ability to connect technical quality with business outcomes and customer impact.
- Banking or financial services experience is advantageous.
